...The new nuclear powered submarine - INS Arihant

Why is the Govt allowing only Hindu rituals before launching any ship, submarine, aircraft, govt building etc...?

Should they also name these for Mohammed, Allah, Ahmed, Jesus, mary, Joseph, conduct an islamic prayer and a mass, while breaking coconut / carrying a hindu puja?

India's secularism needs to improve.

Why all major things named by north Indian culture and hisytory? Why no major ship named after VOCHidamparam, the first South Asian to run a merchant ship company challenging European monopoly?

There is a ship operating from Southern South Asia but no major one. Why Southern lesaders relegated to south only if at all when northern names all over South asia?

I had high opinion about VoC pillai...until I came to know about his history. He too became a power-monger and businessman switching parties and rejoining etc....All those party hoppers sacrifice their self-esteem and never (ever) become ultimate leaders.
