Tamil Nadu has no dogs in the war for Kasmir betwe3en two enemies of Tamil people - India and Pakistan.

Both these evil nations had a hand in the massacre of tens of thousands of Tamils in northern and eastern part of the Sri Lankan island.

"THE PEOPLE of Kashmir will never forget the help they received from their brothers of the South," said the then Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Sheik Abdullah, in Madras (now Chennai), while appreciating the work of the three battalions of the Madras Regiment in the defence of Kashmir during the Jammu and Kashmir operations of 1947-48. The Madrasi soldier (affectionately called `thambi'), unaccustomed though he is to the severities of the snow-bound North, to this day is engaged in carrying out his duties, be it in Siachen or Kashmir, in the protection of his countrymen. The two-day, eleventh reunion and 25th Biennial Battalion Commanders conference of the Madras Regiment, the oldest of the Indian Army began today at the Madras Regimental Centre (MRC).
While the barracks were spruced up for the occasion and the members of the greater family of the MRC looked their best, the cynosure of all eyes was the `War Memorial'. The best-known landmark in the area came alive for a little over 90 minutes during a service which included a solemn wreath-laying ceremony homage was paid to the soldiers who had been killed in action. The ceremony was led by the Colonel of the Madras Regiment Lt. Gen. D.S. Chauhan and it included the presentation of arms by the guards and sounding of the last post. The imposing War Memorial that stands on the threshold of the Defence Services Staff College bears a silent testimony to the supreme sacrifice made for the nation by the brave soldiers of the Madras Regiment. Known as the Madras Regiment War Memorial, it was first erected in memory of the soldiers of the Regiment who laid down their lives during the Second World War and the J & K operations of 1947. Today it bears the names of all the soldiers who laid down their lives in the course of active duty from 1941. It was unveiled by the first Indian Colonel of the Regiment Lt. Gen. (later General) S.M. Sriganesh on October 1, 1951. On its Eastern face is inscribed, "Let those who come after, see to it that these names be not forgotten, for they, who at the call of duty, left all that was dear to them, endured hardship, faced danger and finally passed out of the sight of men in the path of duty and self-sacrifice, giving their lives, that might live in freedom. Give the thambi a bowl of rice (kanchi/starch), a few green chillies and some salt and you have a man ready to die doing his duty". The motto of the Madrasi soldier has always been, "it is an honour to die doing one's duty".

I told you. Two Tamil enemies are fighting over Kashmir. May be they will bleed each other and spend less time massacring Tamil.

Wait.... are you supporting TN or SL tamils ? you are talking from both ends. Claim you are only fighting for TN independence but all your anger is bcz of Tamil deaths in SL.

Why do you care ? If you are not worried about hindu massacre in Pakistan why should anyone care for SL Tamils?
