Exactly! Obama & Co's inexperience clearly shows we should stick to our guns no matter what. Had it been Dubya the game plan would've been "To stop Iran, Obama We must enforce red lines with Assad"

..and then drag the whole country into a 10 yr war with no end in sight, and incurring some additional 500 Billion debt..

Did they get back anything from Iraq and Kuwait as they claimed they would at the beginning of 1991 war?

Intentional or not, Kerry had the right idea. If there is a verifiable and enforceable way to get all chemical weapons out of Assad's hands, what is the rationale for bombing him after that? If the US manages to get Assad to disarm himself of those weapons based simply on a threat to bomb him, that is a better outcome for US foreign policy and national security than having to bomb Syria and get embroiled in a civil war there.
