Prime Minister of UK, Mr.  Cameron, who is attending CHOGM in Sri Lanka, issued a statement the day before CHOGM saying he saw his attendance as "an opportunity to raise our concerns about war crimes investigation clearly and directly, and to focus the eyes of the world on Sri Lanka".

He also reiterated calls for an investigation into alleged human rights abuses during and after the war. He also called for war crimes investigation.Cameron said, “I want to shine a light on chilling events there first hand.” Cameron told reporters that he would push for international war crimes investigation if SL did not conduct a war crimes investigation by March 2014.

Cameron visited a refugee camp in Jaffna and talked to the refugees. He also visited a newspaper office (Uthayan) whose printing presses have been burnt in Jaffna. He met NP CM at the library.
