You know there is an unwritten rule in american culture that a person's "personal space" extends upto an arm length of the person. They dont like when someone (they dont approve of) stands inside that circle. Please try this with your office female colleague. No need to touch or anything just stand at "elbow" distance as you would with other desis.

Watch them step back. If you do it a couple of times they would even report you. I am NOT kidding.
