You are quoting a Sri Lankan paper. FACT: India did not wan ceasefire. India wanted LTTE eliminated.

Here are facts. All human rights agencies said Lanka is not allowing even 1/10th of the minimum food requirenets into Mullaivaikal. Lanka understated the number of people there and said there is enough food. Agencies disagreed. India said Lanka is correct. So India is responsible for the starving deaths of 100s or 100s of TAMIL CHILDREN.

America was ready to send a ship to evacuate the people. US Admiral for Pacific Fleet went to Lanka and said we are coming. Lanka was not given an option. Immediately Indian national security advisor flies to washingto,. America cancels the humanitarian operation.

American Ambasador tells Indian Ambassador that lets both go together and tell Lankan presidewnt to agreev to ceasefire. India tells Rajapaksa wants to kill Prabakaran. Refused to meet Lankan ptresident with US ambassador.

America tells India, let us both go and tell Lankan president that he should spell out the political solution (devolution etc) before the war ends. India refuses to go with it. America was right in wanting Lanka commit to a solution before war end. Now after 4 years, Lanka is yet to spell out its solution.

So dont talk of Tamil-hating Indian gov to me.

>>>As would have any other country if these thugs had been breathing down their necks. If America had these thugs at their doorstep, the reaction would have been the same. If your story is true, why did America back down from its initial stance when India made its case? What benefit would it have had to go along with the program? Why is LTTE considered a terrorist organization in this country?

1. I gave the information to debunk that India proposed ceasefire. It never did. I want to expose that false propaganda.

2.  >>> why did America back down from its initial stance when India made its case?

US wants to have good relations with India to counter China. In my opinion it is a bad decision. India would never be a good US ally. US should hasten the liberation of Nagaland, Punjab, Tamil Nadu etc and form alliances with them.

3. >>> What benefit would it have had to go along with the program?

US is run by people with hearts. We are ever thankful to President Obama and then Sec of State Hillary Clinton. Present sec of state Kerry is also acting with a heart in trying to establish war crime charges against Lanka. He sent Anbassador Rapp to talk with people and visit war site. See the post byt Max.

Psst, Trollus! You conveniently avoided answering why the LTTE is considered a terrorist organization.
