You don't need snow removal for 2.6 inches of snow.
The Atlanta drivers need to learn how to drive (in snow).

If the roads are not cleaned, even 2.6 inches of snow can make the roads extremely hazardous to drive.

Sir...if the roads are not cleaned, 2.6 inch or 6.6 inch is the same. the roads were very very slippery.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:Kinnera wrote:If the roads are not cleaned, even 2.6 inches of snow can make the roads extremely hazardous to drive.

yeah, y'day the snow turned into hard ice on the roads coz it was not cleaned. Agreed that more than 1/2 peeps here don't know how to drive in snow and ice. they brake too hard.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:Kinnera wrote:Sir...if the roads are not cleaned, 2.6 inch or 6.6 inch is the same. the roads were very very slippery.Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:Kinnera wrote:If the roads are not cleaned, even 2.6 inches of snow can make the roads extremely hazardous to drive.

btw, sonny was stranded on the roads for more than 9 hrs. yes, 9 hrs without food, water or a chance to go to the restroom. The only lucky thing was that he had his tank filled in the morning. It was a nightmare.

Your holiness who knows it all, even in ND, SD and MN, the roads are cleared in time. The Southern states are not equipped to deal with snow and cannot have it cleared in time on such a massive scale. You can pat yourself on the back and feel gleeful about it but it is no different from some of the Great Plain states having to deal with a 'heat wave'.

They were expecting this for at least 1 week (I was in Atlanta just last weekend and was "warned"), and the great city of Atlanta and its Mayor Kasim Reed could have moved/borrowed some spreaders from nearby hilly cities of NC and TN easily. Do I have to advice Kasim on everything?

We got 1 inch of snow today and it was cleared partially. but the morning commute was difficult. i can feel the pain of Atlanta drivers who do not have the support systems we have. local politicos should learn and take some corrective measures.
