Cong is going to be totally routed from AP. It won't get any seats either in the T or the SA region. Serves them good!Marathadi-Saamiyaar wrote:Kinnera wrote:yooohooo!!

Re: AP Assembly rejects Telangana bill
Will the Center completely ignore the State assembly vote and move the bill in the parliament? Can they do that?

Re: AP Assembly rejects Telangana bill
Bihar rejected the bifurcation law first time. They passed it the second time. the question is will center redo the law and send it back? will it ignore ap assembly and push the division in parliament. will bjp support such bill?
while the assembly rejection is not a end of the road kind of hindrance, it is the first combined action of all major seemandhra elected representatives.
diggy the arrogant rajiv handler indicated that congress.will move forward despite.rejection. pranab could stall further progress but why would he rock the boat.

Re: AP Assembly rejects Telangana bill
That was the objective of BJP. BJP doesn't have any real presence in AP and whether Telangana is separated or not, it makes little difference to BJP in AP. However, if CONmen screw up in AP, BJP's chance of forming the govt at the center will increase. So, BJP has promised to form Telangana if they come to power. Naive MT fell for the trap, wanted to steal the thunder from BJP, dug her own grave and fell into it. BJP will be very happy to cover it with concrete so that she will sing like Anarkali and politically drop dead. Whether CONmen introduce the bill in parliament or not, they are screwed in AP. Pappu will be lucky if he becomes the leader of the official opposition. CONartists will most likely become a tiny minority in the next parliament.Kinnera wrote:Cong is going to be totally routed from AP. It won't get any seats either in the T or the SA region. Re: AP Assembly rejects Telangana bill
What the center sent for debate in the AP assembly is a "draft" bill. So at least for optics they should send a revised bill. Unfortunately that logic applies only to rational people. Didn't they already announce (they did not even wait for what the President would say) that they will introduce the bill in the Parliament on Feb 5th?

Yes, Diggy said that. However, if the President waits for legal opinion, there is nothing that the cabinet can do until it comes back. Apparently, some of the amendments suggested by AP legislators are serious stuff - financial plan for the residual state, for example. JP was alluding to it yesterday.indophile wrote:What the center sent for debate in the AP assembly is a "draft" bill. So at least for optics they should send a revised bill. Re: AP Assembly rejects Telangana bill
I believe the BJP is now saying that they do support separate Telangana, but only after equal justice is done to the Seemandhra region. A catch 22 situation there, but a no-lose situation in either areas for BJP.Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:That was the objective of BJP.
