This will actually work against Cong as Polarization often helps BJP and SP/BSP/Muslim League /MIM parties.

Does Cong really think that majority of voters today give a damn about who Mahatma Gandhi was and vote based on who were his enemies.

If Mohan Bhagwat is implicated in a plot to subvert national security I think most hindus would be ok to see him in jail since these people of the saffron brigade have a history of engaging in terror activities starting from the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

Are you saying most Hindus support Hindutva Terror? If Mohan Bhagwat is implicated in a plot to subvert national security I think most hindus would be ok to see him in jail since these people of the saffron brigade have a history of engaging in terror activities starting from the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

Most Hindus in India are worried about their daily survival because they lack enough money / resources, which is mostly the result of bad management and poor governance. They don't care about who shot Mahatma Gandhi more than 60 yrs ago or what Bhagvat is planning to do in his spare time.

They may or may not but I had not made such a claim or disclaim anywhere. In an election year even truth gets masqueraded as conspiracy. Now what to speak of Governing party spins. I can guarantee that in the coming three to four months, the more Cong works to prove RSS or Modi or BJP communal the better it'll work for them in the West and North of India. BJP has not much to gain or loose in East or South. Also, only pre-poll aliiances will be upset by such revelations. And this time around both BJP and Cong are not getting many of those. If Cong gets closer to 180-200 it will form the Govt and if BJP manage 220-250 it'll do so. Any less they have to seek post poll alliances or support a front from outside.

Most Hindus wish to lead peaceful lives. They do not want a vitiated communal  atmosphere which would prevent them from leading communal lives.
