modi's influence in south is somewhat surprising.
Overall Congress may get lowest number of seats below vindyas in its history.

Kerala,
Unless the Hindus realize that they are second class citizens in Kerala and learn to Block Vote, the Muslim-Christian appeasing Congress in Kerala will probably get around 15 seats. To prevent this, the folks who lead NSS and SNDP have to come together, and SNDP should completely stop voting the Communists (with or without Achuthanandhan)
Syrian Christians are now favoring Modi and if that along with SNDP and NSS joins in, BJP could get 10 and reduce Congress to the 5 mentioned above.

But alas, wishes would remain wishes, because the Muslim block and Congress is desperately trying to prevent SNDP and NSS unity, over some silly issue of temple administration.
If they do not unite now, forget temple, the future of Hindus as a whole will allegedly be bleak in Kerala.

Do not know enough about kerala to argue about numbers. But I was told that cpm would pick up few seats.

As recently as early 1990 s Congress had a chance of getting rid of dynasty and autocratic tendencies. But as normal human behaviour they went being loyal slaves of Sonia and family. Once the opposition wins a couple of parliament elections and keeps Congress away from govt for more than 10 years it may start to change.
