A question on the Indian elections
Once the results are declared and if Modi and his party win, will all the Modi detractors here shut up?

If Modi loses will the Modi Bhaktas stop singing hosannas in his honor? I think not. So why expect Modi detractors to behave differently? This fight will continue till the end of Modi's political career.

Ha ha! You are nothing if not predictable, Il Professor-ai.
Talk to me when the Democrats control the Presidency, the Senate and the House.
From the looks of it Obamacare will get them there in November.

So is this the new rule from CONservatives? That political opponents have no right to criticize a party if it controls the executive and both houses of the legislature?Hellsangel wrote:Ha ha! You are nothing if not predictable, Il Professor-ai.

Some of these people have been singing for the better part of a decade that someone like Modi would be rejected by everyone in India, and he has absolutely no chance of becoming the PM. In fact, one worthy professor declared that here even within the last few (3?) months. It is enough that they will be resoundingly proved wrong. They don't have to shut up.
And then, we have master graph artists who have proved that Modi has not done much development work in Gujarat, and Gujarat has progressed all that much compared to other states. The inference was that Modi will not do much for the development of India either, and so a bad monster like Modi should not be allowed to become the PM. It is enough that in the next few years, these people will be proved wrong too, when India starts transforming under Modi's leadership. And that is enough. They don't have to shut up.
Even Modi converts India into the best country in the world, these people will be complaining that the color of coal in Modi's India is black. Let them wallow in their complaints and never stop whining. The rest of us will be happy with the progress the country will make.
