she very carefully did not say anything about his guilt or innocence. just that the US has chosen to put the past behind them. that could mean anything. thanks for posting this.

Being a diplomat, how could she pass any judgment, whether it's positive or negative?

When she said that US will work towards having a good relationship with India, whoever its people choose to be their prime minister, Thapar was almost like, 'no no, you can't be saying that. how could you support india if modi becomes the PM coz of 2002?' Imagine an american journalist saying such a thing to a foreign dignitary, 'how could you think about supporting US, in spite of the wars we waged in iraq, afghanistan and elsewhere. You shouldn't be doing that.'

>>>American government had killed at least a million Muslims in the past 20 years in places. Hundreds of thousands of innocent children died in Iraq because of sanctions.

During the  first gulf war, the American military bombed a building where hundreds of women and children had taken shelter. All of them were incinerated.

Who the hell are they to judge Modi?

she's going to hate herself for a long time for lying through her teeth; how can the past be behind us when narenbhai is right in front of us, soliciting our votes?
