brother and sister jugalbandi.  or you could say prof vs prof. i think prof rajam deliberately avoided this sort of a concert to avoid being labeled as a carnatic musician who also plays hindustani music.  now that she has left her mark on the field, she doesn't have to worry about such silly things. i just started listening to it. hope it proves to be as good as it sounds in concept.

shrimathis at berkeley, calif is a big source of recorded indian music in the US. in the days when everything was not on the internet, i used to order from their catalog. and they had n.rajam listed as a carnatic musician! i and a few other friends irritated the heck out of them calling them, writing to them, and emailing them to change their classification. i don't know if they eventually did or not.
