i guess other than the marathon, distance running never gets much press (i do follow it however), but yesterday's 10000 m men's race was as exciting as it ever gets. the winners mo farah (UK) the gold medalist, and galen rupp (USA) who got silver, train together with alberto salazar an american marathon legend in portland OR. i had known about and read about salazar before, but did not know that farah and rupp were his trainees.

with all the talk about sports and faith here, i thought this article about salazar might be interesting.

I almost missed this one..a Sara style "you may like this" would have been nice.

I watched the replay last night..it was quite nice to see Farah and Rupp win and their reactions/interactions- seemed genuinely affectionate, and makes sense now - with the personal familiarity angles under the same trainer Mr. Salazar and his remarkable story and faith:)
