Bollywood Culture?? Empty Bollywood Culture??

The other thread reminded me of an incident couple of years ago. There was a lameass doc at the South Asian Film festival about the guy who played chatur in the film 3 idiots(another lameass film). The guy was answering questions kept referring to Bollywood as Indian film. I made some comment objecting to that also saying how I hate bollywood,. 

This woman in the crowd after the event comes to me & blasts me for that!

oh wow people are actually that passionate about b'wood. i just claim it to be my guilty pleasure  Very Happy . Have seen some real duds recently, even by my standards. In theatres. Alone. Almost cried too. And then got yelled at home on why i go watch movies w/o checking the reviews.

let me guess, there must have been foreign movie buff hipster whites in the audience you wanted to impress with your high-falutin lithuanian movie appreciating cred? got your just desserts, I must say. you coulda just objected and said indian movie industry is a lot more than bollywood but no, that's not enough for preening hipster wannabe
