....have a feeling this will make no big difference.

Some muslim youth may join - citing, what else, Gujarat and Babri Masjid. But, the rest of the muslims caught fearful of the Govt agencies, and the Modi govt. and the RSS on one side and the terrorists on the other, will become quieter and "better behaved". Every "event" will likely create a Godhra-like fear in the general muslim population.

So, in essense, Al-Queda will make no big inroads.

However, the situation in Telangana and UP may be different. It is not difficult to establish Al Qaeda or ISIS cells in old Hyderabad and in parts of UP, thanks to sikular appeasement policies of TRS and SP. In addition, in Telangana, people will face Naxalite resurgence. 

With KCR, KD Rama Rao, Kavitakka and Harish Rao going into overdrive collecting kickbacks and robbing Hyderabad's prosperity and businesses gradually moving out, the future of Telangana doesn't look all that promising.

BIMARU-ism will have a new Urdu accent - Hyderabadi, unless Modi takes active interest in ensuring that the KCR family's feudal hold is broken.
