A cult classic of Telugu movie industry,debut movie of Ram Gopal Varma, his best IMO. A  A lot of folks that worked as assistant directors are top directors now. Raghuvaran who played antagonist got as much fame as Nagarjuna, pretty much overshadowed hero character. Apparently, steadicam was used for the first time by an Indian director and that's what made this movie special, especially in action scenes. Shiva was remade in Hindi as well, and was dubbed in Tamil, a big hit there too. Shiva was and still is inspiration for lot of movies/directors.
