that face
There have been some moments in my life, and I am sure it has happened to everyone else too, when they have seen a person, or a picture has been mesmerized with the face. It doesn't have to be gender specific, but simply appreciating how perfect or how attractive a face can be, that somehow you can't take your eyes off it, mesmerized by the charisma, and you remember that moment forever.
I have distinctive examples of my own.
1 - the dead boy. I was about 19 or 20, when my sis handed me the newspaper - I think it was Times Of India - and said, 'oh what a pity, you could have married this handsome boy'. I took that paper from and instantly skipped a heart beat. And on the page was this face of a boy from Bombay, about same age as mine (and I think same caste as mine), who had died coz of General anesthesia mishap during some surgery, I think it was a back surgery. I kept that paper for days and while there was no chance of me marrying him, I read the news over and over how a small slip took away such a beautiful face from this earth.
2 - Princess Di. I saw a pic of her in the 80s in a newspaper, when she was still newly married, or maybe she was to come to India. That face, with hair sweeping on her forehead. Something about her shy smile, that I didn't quite understood then, but realized later when I learned of her life more and more. I kept that newspaper for days just to look at the pic. And the effect always continued. I could never see enough of her pics.
3 - the model. I was 18 at the time, and had gone to Bombay. My host family's kids decided to take me to a pub, after doing my makeup so that I really looked like an 18-year-old Bombayite. There came a little group for drinks and sat across the bar from us. There was a light on her face, and she looked PERFECT. Perfect face I had seen. With the most sombre expressions. She was with an older man, who looked like the leader of the group, was pretty stylish with a diamond stud in her ears. I was of course not the only one who spotted her. Soon the whispers began and it was learned that she was a model, and that guy was an ad director, and the others were part of their team. I am pretty sure I saw her later in the Pond's ad.
4 - Divya Bharti. When she died, and they dressed her up like a bride for her last riots. Inspite of falling off a building and dying from impact on her head, he face didn't have a single scratch. It just looked like she was sleeping peacefully, and not dead like more dead people look. She looked stunning, and I was mesmerized by the pic. However, it was not just the face, but many emotions went through me. Since she was approximately my own age, I felt more connected to her compared to other stars. In that small age, she had achieved stardom and got married. She had seen so much, and I kept looking at the picture and kept thinking about the mystery behind her death, and every knowledge that she took with her under that face.
5 - the adonis in pink shirt. This was in New Delhi, and I must be 17. I had gone shopping with my cousins. While they were busy shopping, I was bored and sat outside the store and looked across the road where the cars were parked. The adonis walked to white car, with shopping bag in his hands. He wore a light pink shirt and white denim. Had light brown slightly wavy hair He went back and forth many times, and mostly stayed with the car. He had two older women with him, apparently his mother and aunt. The woman were doing massive shopping, and he seemed to be there as their chauffeur. For next 20 minutes or so I watched him, completely mesmerized every time he showed up, or had his face towards me. I checked him out unabashedly. There was no chance of him looking at me, but I fervently wished he did. If he did, and if he had asked me to go with him, I would have. I would have gone with him right there right then.

This is not a Tracy Whitney( Beatrix Kiddo) post. Tracy's sentences are not as free flowing; they are more clumsy. Perhaps it was decided that Bittu would be using this handle for some of the posts to confuse the reader after what happened here:

Al-Akbari makes up his mind to his liking and then uses words like "could have, would have, perhaps, heard, likely, blah blah..." so he could have the cake and eat it too - except the cake is usually cowdung.

lol. ya but my OP was a little more shallow, and yet deep, in nature. It was more about you know nothing or little about someone, or they are a celebrity, and yet you feel intense magnetism seeing their face/pic, to the point that you continue looking at it. Has no one else felt this?
