A bjp govt in J &K?

Now that is something unimaginable few months ago. If BJP can work with PDP and forms a govt with alternate terms, it may give J&K a chance to change the direction. It may balance valley and Jammu regional concerns.

People voted NC out of power. BJP joining NC is not good politics. I personally think Omar is a better for J&K than PDP types.

Suggested formula for PDP/BJP govt: CM/Dy CM Alternating yearly between the two.

BJP govt will make pakistan see red. Militants may go wild for a while. But over long run, they will have to back off.

Change is good for J&K.

If BJP provides good governance, development, jobs, stability and peace in J&K, the Kashmir issue (created by chi chi Nehru) will be solved. Even the people of PoK will start agitating against Pakis to join the Indian side.

Added benefit: CONartists will be history!!!

Whatever happens, PDP will not part with Home Ministry. BJP should not just focus on CM post and ask for alternating post in the home ministry, if alternating CM is not offered.

The main issue is that a lot of Terrorist sympathizers have allegedly joined the J&K administration, and they get wind of any operation being done against terrorists. This is how terrorists are able to stay in towns. These elements need to be purged. Only the worst extremists OR those that target PDP/NC are given up and rest of sleeper cells are left untouched.

The question is, whether the BJP joining J&K government, do something about this ?

Key to j&k is development. Terrorist are not going to mend their ways in a week or a month. But if the fertile grounds for breeding are squeezed, most of j&k will join the national mainstream. Occassional trouble will remain for a long long time.
