Jaitlee's budget is a good foundation for future economic growth (even though he screwed the new state of AP killing its potential for a decade).  However the budget needs social peace.  The newly empowered right wing hindu zealots of VHP, bajrang dal, RSS and other such forces need to be kept under control by Nagpur.  Prickly issues must be avoided to create an atmosphere conducive to FDI dollars to flow in. These dollars follow money but they dry up quickly if they see religious intolerance,  banning beef type actions, and stupid statements by togadia and sadvi.

In May 2014,  Economic Optimism  90,  right wing 10 

In jan 2015,    EO  80, RW 20

RW has not yet overshadowed EO. Unless RSS does a better job in the coming year,  Modi's job to attract FDI would become more and more difficult.

It is a question of when but not if these questions will pop up?  If modi fails to contain ,  the task of FDI will be much more tough.  The good will generated by all the foreign tours can be lost with one foolish ban. If Modi is smart, RAM Rajya waited for 2000 years, what is 10 more years.

Stop blaming the chaddis. The current regime's cluelessness is slowly coming through. Just after the FM waxed eloquent about not raising retrospective tax demands, his tax dept did exactly that to Cairn UK and Cairn India.!! Bye Bye acche din!
