If hatred for Nehru and his descendants wants to make you believe that Bose was a pristine democrat without a single autocratic bone in his body, feel free to disregard all the evidence too the contrary and hold on to your beliefs. While you're at it, you can also hold on to the other one claiming he's still alive and only waiting to reveal himself at an opportune time.

?! If one can be called Comrade, Mullah for expressing neutral opinions, it is only fair that fervent supporters of Israel are called Israelis.Hellsangel wrote:You're getting a little too excitable, Comrade.confuzzled dude wrote:Really! Off on a tangent again, Comrade? You think that was what was wrong with your statement? Looks like you have reading comprehension issues with your own statements.confuzzled dude wrote:?! Chaddis like to [conveniently] forget that Bose, like many of that generation, was a Socialist.Merlot Daruwala wrote:ashdoc wrote:http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Netaji-Subhas-Chandra-Bose-wanted-ruthless-dictatorship-in-India-for-20-years/articleshow/46980513.cms

He was left of even Nehru. If he'd become PM, India would have become part of the Soviet Bloc.

One big downside for Indians (especially the Muslims) in losing Bose as the leader (president) of pre-Independence Congress party was in the country (India) getting divided on religious basis. Bose had a huge following among both the Hindus and Muslims, and if he had been the leader of Congress party there probably wouldn't be enough support (from Muslims) for creating a separate country (Pakistan) for them.Merlot Daruwala wrote:ashdoc wrote:http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Netaji-Subhas-Chandra-Bose-wanted-ruthless-dictatorship-in-India-for-20-years/articleshow/46980513.cms

Good point. With a 20-25% Muslim population in an undivided India, Upps Aunty and other limpwristed types wouldn't be able to step out of their houses at any time, leave aside the post 8pm curfew they've had to live under in divided India.

See what I mean? Other than Congress loyalists who have no choice in the matter, it looks like you and fellow chaddis were the only folks who are so excited by Rahul baba's return and greatly interested in what he might have to say.
Maybe you should obsess less about that child's shortcomings and focus more on the failings of your own government.
