Only three out of 11 chief ministers turned up on Thursday for the first meeting of the sub-group formed for the purpose.

Are these people blind or living in a closed hole? They just need to open their eyes, look outside and notice how dirty the place / country is before they realize that there is urgent need to clean it.

Great opportunity for Pappu AKA Rahul Baba to fight on behalf of the masses to defecate outside on the road and along the tracks....
He can start a padayatra and conduct a Poop Satyagraha.

>>>That would help, but as in most everything else in India, this has been defined as a political issue and will be played according to those rules. The dirt, the filth etc. are therefore secondary.Seva Lamberdar wrote:Are these people blind or living in a closed hole? Bigger question is, who is going to or how are they going to get the monies needed? Per feku's plan, states are supposed to bear the financial burdenSeva Lamberdar wrote:Are these people blind or living in a closed hole? What are you talking .... do you think the Govt. should pay people to clean their courtyards and remove garbage and dirt from the vicinity of their houses?confuzzled dude wrote:Bigger question is, who is going to or how are they going to get the monies needed? No.
The same thing here. Keeping the places clean is the job for state and local / municipal Govts. They should organize and look after these things / projects without expecting any money or grants form the Central Govt. What the Central Govt. should probably do instead is that it should reduce funding on other projects to any state or city which is seen to ignore the cleanliness (swachh) project leading to the place / places remaining dirty, messy and garbage-full.

Are you suggesting that Feku should take/get the credit for doing nothing. About cutting down on funding; feku is very good at that, he completely ignored hudhud cyclone victims.Seva Lamberdar wrote:What are you talking .... do you think the Govt. should pay people to clean their courtyards and remove garbage and dirt from the vicinity of their houses?confuzzled dude wrote:Bigger question is, who is going to or how are they going to get the monies needed? It seems people are so used to Govt. handouts in the past that they now want Govt. grants even to clear the garbage / mess created and left by them.confuzzled dude wrote:Are you suggesting that Feku should take/get the credit for doing nothing.
