Re: Rana Pratap, the great
When are these idiot leaders from North India going to learn that, with thier (North Indian bent) nationalistic mindset they are going to divide the country horizontally, who is and what is Rana Pratap's stature in Indian history compared to, say, Sri Krishna Devaraya?

Nothing wrong in that. Rana pratap inspired many freedom fighters, across regions. So he deserves a place, so is Krishna Devarayya, who managed to fend off the Bahamani Sultans.confuzzled dude wrote:When are these idiot leaders from North India going to learn that, with thier (North Indian bent) nationalistic mindset they are going to divide the country horizontally, who is and what is Rana Pratap's stature in Indian history compared to, say, Sri Krishna Devaraya?
So is Rajendra Chola . So is prithivraj and the most important of all, the Chandragupta Maurya, and Ashoka.
Similarly we need to especially educate the south folks about the (mis) deeds of Ghiyasuddin of Madurai Sultananate and Tipu Sultan in Kerala, and present the true picture to all citizens of India. The young Muslims of South India. needs to especially learn about all these and evils of Political Islam. Most folks (especially Tamils) seem to have no knowledge of the ethnic cleansing perpetrated by Madurai Sultanate. Unless it is done, creating a bedrock of support for secularism among Muslims is difficult.
These were conveniently erased from the history syllabus by the pseudo seculars and Political Islamists in cahoot with the Congress. All these need to be corrected

(-:
A typical bait for NI vs. SI.
Pratap vs. Krishna Deva Rai or Chola?
Ha!
See - Thats the problem in our thinking. Instead of highlighting Maharana Pratap or Rai's or Chola's Patriotism, you tried to put them against each other, for responses.
For people with your mindset confuzzed dude, let me ask this - Do you think Sukhdev had more SI features than Bhagat Singh?
You get my point.
There are millions who do not fall for your Brit controlled mindset, how old are you?
Intentions only matter, not words.

Re: Rana Pratap, the great
What's the legacy of Rana Pratap, if any? other than being a ruler of a small region in North India who stood up against Akbar. His legacy has already been blown out of proportion. It didn't deserve a lesson in A.P's grade level history books. He was nobody compared to Sri Krishna Devaraya or Akbar in the annals of Indian history.rawemotions wrote:

What bait and what mindset? An average South Indian knows more about North India than an average NI's knowledge about South India. Tell those stupid North Indian jingoistic BJP politicians that Indian history is much deeper than NI history or culture.TruthSeeker wrote:(-:

Pratap’s raison d’etre in history is his three-decade war against somebody as mighty as Akbar, he is a hero because he didn’t except the powerful Mughal ruler’s suzerainty. Had Akbar been a minnow, Pratap too would have been a non-entity. Rana’s greatness is incumbent on Akbar’s; the Mughal emperor, though, doesn’t need the Rana to be propped up right up there with the likes of Ashoka.

Re: Rana Pratap, the great
Rana pratap inspired many by his valour. So he deserves inclusion and every Indian should know about this, as much as they need to know about Rani Laxmi Bai. Let us leave it at that.confuzzled dude wrote:bingo..confuzzled dude wrote:What's the legacy of Rana Pratap, if any? other than being a ruler of a small region in North India who stood up against Akbar. Now coming to another point, what about fixing the history to include the truth about ethnic cleansing of Tipu Sultan , Aurangzeb and Ghiyasuddin of Madurai Sultanate ?
