Holy cow ...
If the cow is so holy why are the Hindus allowing them to eat garbage on the streets? Why are they not asking the government to bring lorries to take them away and impound them until their rightful owners pay a fine to take them back and keep them off the streets?
If you are not supposed to kill the cow because it is sacred and gives us milk, how about the bull? It is no longer used as readily in farming because of the tractors; no longer used as much in transportation. And those bulls that you see on the roads pulling carts look like moving wicker baskets with their ematiated hollow ribcages. It's a sorry state that the bulls find themselves in India. Where is the justice for these animals that carry the sacred stamp yet live an unholy miserable life?
Just asking ...

You are being intolerant towards Cows....and Dogs, and then Pigs.
I will ask Sonia and Maneka to join hands and march to the Rashtrpathi Bhavan (sounds like a restaurant to me).

May a wandering cow sanctify your head by peeing on it and may a nomadic bull eat your chaddi.

this is a politicized issue (on both sides), nothing to do with sanctity of cow or whatever. your description of how cows are treated apply to humans too. india, like rest of the poor countries with high degree of poverty, does not treat life the same way as the developed world. it's a simple fact. you can argue about whether the callousness is borne out of caste divisions or what, but net result is the same world over.
that said, religious nuts are fucking turds everywhere in the world, no matter what

Yeah..... The lack of respect for the cow, dogs, monkeys, and animals in general can be correlated with a rise in the Sikular, CON-ish and corrupt mindset of many Indians. If a Hindu talks eloquently about Kamadhenu and Kalabhairava and leaves cows to scavenge on streets and throws stones at innocent puppies, he can't be trusted.goodcitizn wrote:If the cow is so holy why are the Hindus allowing them to eat garbage on the streets? Re: Holy cow ...
It's easier to focus on the holiness of the cow than to reflect on the high level of poverty in the country, I suppose. A sad testimony of Indian politics.Propagandhi711 wrote:goodcitizn wrote:If the cow is so holy why are the Hindus allowing them to eat garbage on the streets? Not sure why, may be for some tool/equipment to exercise/drill. I wonder how they allow that khaki color since most of the cops uniform has the same color too.goodcitizn wrote:FluteHolder wrote:http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/rss-changes-its-style-from-shorts-to-trousers/article7842804.ece?homepage=truegaram_kuta wrote:
