Work like U never wanted the money?

These days, I have started working like this.
As if, I dont work for money any more.
Have surprised some VPs, SVPs, and pissed off quite a few in middle management.
I think most treat as someone who will speak his mind regardless, and also question me when I am quieter than usual in any meeting - If I am ok, or what I think?
Hmm...
I think I am going to be fired next year, because middle management hates me...I think!
But then, I am just another consultant.
Interesting experience though, when you change your mindset.
As if, I dont work for money any more.

Oh good you're trying something new n looks like enjoying it. If they're going to wait till next year to fire you, you're in good situation.
Here's how I think about it. We should always speak our mind, even if we are working for money, in ways that don't thoughtlessly dismiss other people's views. We should talk from a place of empathy without losing our own POV.
It's not that complicated once you get a hang of it.
One thing we should never do is say things we don't believe in, for money.

As in, I am not too interested in discussing world problems as in talking to U!
I pissed off a few Sr Managers yesterday, I guess the post came to my mind because of that.
Anyways, kaam hi hai. Zindagi nahi.
Aapne kahaa ki aap theek hain, Shukriya. Par poochha nahi waapis, eh? :-)
Mai bhi achha hoon. Bas theek nahin.
Vaise iss sawaal ke jawaab mei theek hona aur achha hona - kya farak hai? :-)

theek hona achha hona sab bol chal ki baatein hain. dono ka ek hi matlab hota hai (especially when people are responding to how are you).
woh keh rahe hain sab kushal mangal hai.
dissection karna hai to doosri baat hai. fir to it can mean a 100 things.
meri manager ne bhi kuch seniors ko piss off kar diya hai. ab sab kuch hold pe hai. abhi hum koi kaam nahi kar rahe hain until oh well...kaam hai zindagi nahi.
wknd hai. cool it. what plans?
