generally IIT-K refers to the institute in kanpur. IIT-KGP is the institute kejriwal attended.

If I remember correctly (as I heard from a student once), some students used to get admitted to IITs (including IIT KGP) according to their securing the top ranking (first or second position etc.) in their state school / college system and thus not having to sit for and take JEE.

So, did Kraziwallah take JEE or not?
What if he attended a school like the one in Bihar where flunkies got top ranks but failed when re-examined?

that may have been the case for the earliest batches of entering students. by the time kejriwal went to IIT, this practice was long abandoned. so he is definitely a JEE entrant, subbu swamy's rants aside.

think swamy shld demand that his entire mark sheet be published.

After all this guy could only get into Revenue service on his UPSC exam when 22 yr old, science grad Tina Dabi could top the list.

Are you sure about the abandonment of the above practice, since undoing such things (undue privileges and benefits) rarely occurs once they have been put in place?
In addition, there also might be the consideration in the above that the top ranking in State school / college system would override the JEE rank (position). In other words, if a top ranking holder in the State schools took JEE and got a lower mark / rank in it or flunked (JEE), he / she still might get into IITs based on his high rank in the State school / college system.

Mounting a sharp attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy today raised questions on the process through which the AAP chief got admission into IIT Kharagpur.
Accusing Kejriwal of not taking the entrance exam, Swamy said that the chief minister may have possibly used his father's connections to get enrolled in the institute.
"Last row of RTI column shows that Kejriwal has no rank (IIT). He probably came through other methods," the BJP leader said.
The attack came after Swamy sought an RTI reply from IIT-Kharagpur which was asked to provide the basis of Kejriwal's entry into B Tech programme and his All India Rank in any competitive exam. The information was not available, the institution said in the RIT reply.

Seeking details of the admission process, Swamy said that the chief minister must explain how he got admission into the institute.
