i learnt a new thing today, so i thought i'd share. while editing (your) posts:


  • if yours is the last post in the thread, you can edit it countless times and the bar "last edited by..." will not show up till the time someone else posts in that thread (and this might happen while you are editing it -- you can choose to abandon the edit before clicking "post" in that case).
  • you can no longer edit after the 5/10 min window allowed for editing.
  • if you fill the bar "reason for editing..." then the "last edited by..." tag will show up against your post regardless of whether anyone else has posted in that thread.
  • in lieu of editing -- if you are still want to make corrections to your post and it is still the last post in the thread -- you can use the delete (X) box to delete your post and compose a new reply.
