Prashant Bhushan: Romeo loved just one lady, while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser.Would Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes AntiKrishna squads?

Prashant Bhushan: We have grown up with legends of young Krishna teasing Gopis. The logic of Romeo squad would criminalise this.Didnt intend to hunt sentiments

ha ha, that's pretty funny. but as one of the commenters pointed out, it is about consent. the gopikas enjoyed the flirtation whereas we all know that in india all these "romeos" are waste on sidewalk idling their time away when they're not pinching bottoms, throwing acid, hurling abuse at women etc. they're all quite misogynistic and there are far too many of them in india; keeping these men under control would be better for everyone including female Caucasian tourist who're made to feel unsafe when they visit india.Rashmun wrote:Prashant Bhushan: We have grown up with legends of young Krishna teasing Gopis. The logic of Romeo squad would criminalise this.Didnt intend to hunt sentiments

On March 26, sub-inspector Sanjeev Giri and constable Vimal detained a youth and his uncle’s daughter, both aged about 18, when they came here to purchase medicines from their native Hashmat Ganj village, said superintendent of police KK Chaudhari.
“The policemen said they had taken action against them under the anti-Romeo operations and they were kept at a police station for over five hours,” he said.
The police personnel refused to let go the cousins even after their relatives approached them and clarified that they were related and were not a couple, he said.
The policemen allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 to free them, the officer said, adding that relatives gave the amount and also filmed the policemen accepting the bribe.

P. Bhushan is completely wrong in comparing the ancient mythical tale about Krishna from the Bhagvata Purana in which the pre-teen (as a 8 or 9 yr. old boy) Krishna hid innocently (without any sexual intent or malice) the clothes of familiar young bathing women (who even knew Krishna personally and adored him as a young boy) against the real present incidents involving grown-up loafer men (in their late-teens, twenties and thirties) chasing and harassing (usually with sexual intent) the stranger women.
It's hard to believe that P. Bhushan supposedly has a degree in Law and claims to have practiced the legal profession in High Court, considering he is so short on logic and common sense.

didn't Krishna make the Gopikas walk before him in the nude (to fetch their clothes)? I think he was a teenager at this time (not 8-9 years old).

Read the whole paragraph properly. The story about Krishna from the Bhagavata Purana is a mythical and ancient one. It could have happened in reality or not happened at all. Moreover, it involves a 8 or 9 yr. old boy (Krishna) playing tricks / games (having no sexual intent or malice) with familiar women whom he loves and they love him. This is quite unlike the present real incidents in which the grown-up boys / men chase, harass and molest stranger women sexually, requiring the police to stop and punish them under anti-romeo / anti-loafer law.Rashmun wrote:Seva Lamberdar wrote:P. the Bhagavata Purana does not say he was only 8-9 years old at this time. I think he was a teenager at this time.

You are an idiot for comparing a painting based on a mythical incident in an ancient text with the present real life incidents of sexual harassment of women by men.Rashmun wrote:

Well, you did post in the above a fictitious painting based on a mythical story from an ancient text to support Bhushan's argument as if this painting represented a real photograph showing grown-up Krishna teasing the bathing girls. None of that seems to be factual and might even be against Krishna's nature of protecting helpless girls / women, like he had done in the Mahabharata for Draupadi getting protected by him from disrobing by Kauravas. Moreover, the Bhagavada Purana incident indicating Krishna playing with his friends (maidens) supposedly took place when he was only 8 or 9 yrs. old, considering it happened before he left his home in Vrindavan at the age eleven.

Bhagavad Purana does not say he left Vrindavan at the age of eleven. Nor does it say he was only 8-9 years old when he stole the clothes of the gopikas.

What age did Krishna leave Vrindavan? Moreover, were these gopikas known to Krishna personally as friends, or not? Did Krishna protect Draupadi from disrobing by Kauravas, or not?Rashmun wrote:Seva Lamberdar wrote:Rashmun wrote:Seva Lamberdar wrote:You are an idiot for comparing a painting based on a mythical incident in an ancient text with the present real life incidents of sexual harassment of women by men.Rashmun wrote:http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CeGT2NRwXWs/UMQEiMxbROI/AAAAAAAADwE/y0efk0YLEFU/s1600/48+Bhagavatha+-+Gopi+vastraapaharanam.jpg

He may have left Vrindavan in his late teens, or even later. Also, even after leaving Vrindavan, he would visit the place since his family (including his brother Balaram) and many friends had stayed behind.

Krishna left Vrindavan for Mathura before he was 12 yrs. old (around 11 and a half) and he never went back.Rashmun wrote:Seva Lamberdar wrote:What age did Krishna leave Vrindavan? It just proves your and your friends' inability to come up with genuine evidence and arguments and instead rely on fake pictures and stories based on mythical tales.
