In other words, before the elections, while Shrillary was trash talking Russia, the adult side of the campaign was having adult talks to make relationships normal and conducive. It appears that the Russians were well aware of who had the best chances of winning the election. So, they proactively started working with him.

Lindsey Graham, Republican from South Carolina, member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Chair of its Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism said today that the Trump-Russia matter is now a "criminal investigation."
