covering the elephant statues erected by mayawati before the elections as per the order of the election commission (since elephant is the party symbol of Mayawati's BSP party) has nothing to do with hinduism.

the need of the hour is to minimize and eliminate communal beliefs, and not perpetuate them.

Did the EC also order that all public statues of Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, etc. be covered up in the run up to the elections? They should also look into covering up the hands of all public statues in general, removing all lotuses from public parks and banning bicycles in public places.

Agreed.... Think that is what Maya also demanded. I would demand that all crosses, and moons on top of mosques covered as well bcz by flying a congress flag next to the moon structure, they can play vote bank politics.
