Dravid to retire...Will VVSL follow him? Empty Dravid to retire...Will VVSL follow him?

The Media is full of reports of impending Dravid retirement.

VVSL also might announce his retirement. Perhaps, he should. He is more likely to be axed by the selectors and humiliated (as they did with him in ODIs), than retain him as a dependable old guard. With no political backing, he should ensure he is not humiliated.

Hope these 2 retire at the end of this tour rather than risk being dropped for the India tour.

Sehwag should be tried in the middle order for a couple of tours and if he did not deliver to EXPECTATIONS he should also be dropped. So is the case with the Master Bluster.

there are a lot of people whose place in the team needs reevaluation, so i don't know why there is this singular focus on VVS.

My focus on VVSL is simply I would not want him humiliated by the Mumbai Mafia and Media Company. He has absolutely no political backing and better for him to retire than stay with the hope that he will be picked to live another day.

The BCCI has not done a good job in respectfully saying Thank you-Good Bye to the fab 4 (SG, Kumble, and now RD, VVSL,). I am reasonably sure Master Bluster will be given a great ceremonial good bye, and hence he has no fear for 2 to 3 years.
