Corona or Puja, these days?
As the purpose of Puja is to make spiritual advancement while getting nearer to the Deity, it's not necessary to risk one's life due to corona-virus these days while taking part in Puja festivals.
The Bhagavad Gita is very clear on this (Ch. 18: V. 61, 62): God, as the Immanent (including Ishta-deva), resides in the hearts of all; meditate on and pray to God (Ishta-deva) therefore in your mind and even sitting at home.

Re: Corona or Puja, these days?
The reference to the Immanent or Antaryamin (Atman, rather than individual atma or soul) in verses 61 & 62 of chapter 18 of the Bhagavad Gita is same as third purusa Parmatma (or Supreme Soul, unlike two other purusas body and soul) in verses 16 & 17 of chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita.
Moreover, as indicated in response to Arjuna's question at the beginning of chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita, Brahman (God) may be worshiped as the Transcendent or the Immanent depending on the situation and capability of the worshipper and leading to the same type of outcome and spiritual benefit to the worshipper.

Bhakti is doing one's duty or karma (action), whatever that might be, in the name or as a dedication to God who resides (Antaryamin, including as Ishta-deva) in the heart of everyone..... Bhagavad Gita (Ch. 18 - V. 45, 46, 61, 62)
