huzefa kapasi's movie review -- aakrosh
WOW! 2010 release. never imagined this movie to be so engrossing. i selected it only because i saw ajay devgan in the the cover pic. of the dvd. ajay devgan is among my favourite bollywood actors. i had to rewind scenes countless times because i was left utterly surprised by the turn of events and had to absorb them carefully. awesome screenplay/plot and awesome camera shoots. some really breathtaking or entertaining stunts by ajay devgan (though some unreal and some not necessarily executed by him -- but he is the son of a stunt artist). bipasha basu looked ethereally beautiful -- she uncannily, for indian heroines, looks pretty when she loses weight!

Critical reception
Aakrosh mostly garnered positive reviews from all the top critics of India, Nikhat Kazmi of Times of India
rated it with 3.5/5 stating, "The film works primarily because it is
paced like a high momentum thriller" and praised the fight and chase
scenes.[3]
Ayush Agrawal of FilmiTadka gave it 3.5 out of five and wrote in his
review, "I give it 3.5 out 5 stars, for the phenomenal performances of
Akshaye Khanna and Ajay Devgan, and also the strong and awakening
script. You are missing something if you haven’t watched the movie".[4]
Boxoffice
Aakrosh was praised by critics, but somehow the film was unable to work at the box-office.[5] It grossed 18.25 crore at the Indian box office. Aakrosh had a 40% opening only.[6][7]
