Surprised to see Purdue make the list at # 8.

It is not the Purdue at West Fayette, Indiana.

It is a different campus. I think it must be for Blacks like University of Maryland at Eastern Shore, MD.

Thanks. I checked it again; it's not the well-known Purdue. Also, about half of these colleges are in Ohio. Wonder why.

many of them black schools. Purdue campus is one of the piddly ones.

Ohio has an awful lot of schools but it is not tiered like NY, CA or TX systems. The high school systems are going down due to unemployment and run down of cities North of the I-90.

Also, many students who enter "these" schools tend to transfer to other schools, and am not sure how the graduation rate is calculated.

Sara,

You swung back to your old prejudices again. This particular campus of Purdue North central is in rural Indiana and it caters to almost 100% non black, non minority americans. I also doubt if the graduation rate at this campus is as low as this particular report indicates. Many students in these type of campus are mature mid life students, moms who want to come to work after raising their children or individuals who are looking for something special. Graduation may not be the proper measurement of service in these educational institutions.
