most of us outgrew ayn rand quite quickly, like when we were 15 or something. ryan still seems to worship the ground she walked on. there were two NYT opinion pieces, both by women on ryan's twisted fascination with her just today. twisted because he drinks only a portion of koolaid. the other portion of the koolaid (rand's atheism) would be deadly with the base. so he avoids that like the plague.

Isn't she the ideal conservative tax hero?

Actually Rand was a hypocrite of the first order, writing in absolutist, black and white terms about other people and then collecting social security and medicare in her own later years. At least on hypocrisy, she is a good example for Ryan and Romney.

any self respecting libertarian would be opposed to any war which does not involve a direct attack on the homeland.
