Paul Ryan released his tax returns for 2010 and 2011. Ryan earned $215k in adjusted gross income in 2010. His federal income tax was $34k, for an effective rate of 15.9%. In 2011, he paid 20%. In contrast, Romney earned $21.6 million in AGI, and paid just 13.9% in 2010.

Ryan's tax bill is lower than that of most salaried people making his level of income. But Romney beats him easily when it comes to paying less!
