don't know why they can't use simple visuals like this in campaign speeches. so much better than empty rhetoric.

it also tells a story about who talks about shrinking govt and who actually does it.

Visuals and Graphs don't lie, but interpretation and explanations can be conveniently twisted for lying purposes.

interpretations can be debated, but when you have no facts, no numbers, and only rhetoric there is no basis for an actual discussion. i think the mood in the US has changed. the famously inattentive public actually wants politicians to talk to them about numbers and facts. R&r think they can run the entire campaign by just mindlessly repeating that the economy sucks and obama is responsible for it, without actually offering a plan of their own or presenting any numbers or facts. obama should use the public's mood and force romney and ryan to come to the table to have an actual discussion instead of wasting his energy fending off rhetorical bombs.
