LOL, that is silly. i agree. but but but, it is greater than the folks who give numbers and letters to their codenames [k48,n89] and not to mention, much more colorful:-)

I don't like code names or fancy names like Android uses. I hate Intel processor family names too (I think they are names after cities/locations).
What I like is one O/s name followed by version numbers. Android 2.4 sounds much better than gingerbread.

How many of you have actually tried out a Windows phone?

I was a Windows Mobile user for a few years. From 2005 through 2010. I really enjoyed WM until 2009. And then it all went downhill. I tried WP7 once in a store, but I didn't like it.artood2 wrote:How many of you have actually tried out a Windows phone?

I love MetroUI - it is a slick and intuitive interface, but unfortunately, Windows 7 Mobile is way behind the curve in terms of features.

In the world of phones, things change by the month. There are really a whole lot of good devices out there whether it is iOS, Android or WP7. What you have in WP7 is probably only slightly behind the curve and they may catch up with the next one. What we know about devices now will be obsolete in a couple of months.
