The link you gave says the bandh is on Wednesday. Not friday.

There is a tit for tat guru poojas for the respective caste leaders of Dalits / mukkulathors. And whenever Jayalalitha rules TN, it is considered to be a Mukkulathor rule, since her live in partner Sasikala is from the caste and caste conflicts flare up in southern Tamilnadu.
This time, a police sub inspector was killed by the mukkulathors last week in another one of their caste leader's guru pooja and it is suspected that police took silent revenge by facilitating the attacks by remaining silient or allowing the groups to pass through sensitive areas and invite retaliation. These mindless caste conflicts are one reason why many industries are reluctant to set up shops in southern TN and concentrate their work in and around Chennai and northern districts.

Rawmotions, the sub-inspector was killed by Girish Karnad's fakular, Congoon henchmen.
