I won't be personally affected by the Defense cuts..so, no problem.
I don't get Medicare benefits..so, no problem.
*I may travel soon..not sure how that will affect me. And there are other MANY agency cuts..which may or may not affect me..

BUT, I know plenty of people who will be directly affected if the cuts are big enough- in almost all categories..*and what affects them- affects me..and therefore there IS a problem.

people in my business are in a foul mood. research funding is going to be hacked thoughtlessly just like everything else thanks to recalcitrant house republithugs.

Yes, I know..from NIH to CDC to so many Agencies- related to Science and Research..there will be big cuts, if this continues.
It is hard to believe it has come this in the USA.
