Second visit to the Tamil restaurant
Ordered a small bowl of rasam, one pongal for consumption in the restaurant, and one pongal and one bisi bele bath packed (to go). The rasam was fantastic today but the pongal was only so so. There seemed to be a lot less uncrushed black pepper and it was dry and not slightly runny/watery like last time. I mentioned this to the waiter--same guy who served me last time--who said he is from Nizamabad(!) and he said the cook who made pongal for me last time is on leave today. For how long, I asked. One day was the reply. Every Wednesday that particular cook is on leave.

I'm sure they made that up and knew you were coming. Did you invite the restaurant folks to join your discussion website here?

I just had some of the Bisi Bele Bath. It was good but not as good as the one of last time. I think I need to avoid going to the tamil restaurant on Wednesdays.
