Oh ya I know what you mean. When I took d and nieces to zip lining, along with zip lining, we had to cross 3 or 4 sections on ladders, logs, bridges, etc. They were small sections but tested my fitness and endurance. I knew I was doing this first and last time as an adult, so I made niece take a lot of pics.
Another memory of that day is the young helper guy paying extra attention to me. Right from coming up to tie my belt from behind, to catching me on zip line ends, to chatting with me while we waited for others. Was weird and cute at the same time.

Awww....that was cute :-) I was so shaking to notice any cuteness around. There was also like 20 something swings between trees and one has to step on the swings to get to the other tree. Yep, took pictures and videos. I wasn't looking fearful or shaking in those picutures. It always happens with me whenever I am so damn sick - I look so active and refreshed and none will believe that I am sick. Fitness and endurance? I am so demotivated to hit the gym these days...

V(irile1), what are your thoughts on d dating a m (muslim)? what are your thoughts on her prospects of converting to muzzslam and wearing that walking tent?
1. a first-ever intercourse with a woman whose legs are covered with a tropical forest of thick, black, curly hair, followed by disgust and long whines about it in old sulekha's chat room, in the hope that they - the long whines - would elicit sympathy from the aunties of sulekha, who might then fall into bed with you. your consolation is that the tropical forest is growing on a kannadiga's legs, and believing that the "dark-and-ugly, sambar-slurping" telugu, as the northindians refer to you < kannadiga, even though kannadiga < bengali < mainstream northindian.
reminder: have you bought her a razor yet? how do i know that she's a kannadiga? you bragged about her being one! that you had risen above "the darks and the uglies" of guNTur!
2. being mo's (bittu singh's) First Worshipper and being gullible enough to believe that one can attract eighty-seven women into bed as he supposedly did, by calling them "bitches" at sulekha and yahoo; then exaggerating your own sexual experience to two whole women because "two is more credible than eighty-seven" (hahaha!);
3. experiencing massive erections and spontaneous ejaculations over random photographs seen on the internet, which you believe are d's, then spilling your seed on texas.
let me know if you are in the mood to reminisce more.
so are you handling your d's dating of a muslim ok? no fits of conniption? did you go through the normal process of handling such a news? did you steel yourself to the possibility that she might be walking in a black tent soon, if at all? any opinion on whether she's gonna get a dowry?

World English Dictionary
conniption
— n
slang ( US ), ( Canadian ) ( often plural ) a fit of rage or tantrums
If conniption itself means a fit of rage then what does fits of conniption mean?

literal iyer,
it means fits of fits. in otherwords, the diaperdhari phlegmmarajan would be flopping around like a fish out of water. it's fits squared if you can imagine what that would be like.
btw, whats your opinion of phlegmy's daughter enjoying the fruits of a muslim's loins? approve/disapprove/need further data?

Re: When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Once I had a fight with H and I was so pissed off and took off driving around the city crying. While driving around the mall checked in at an expensive hair salon and got myself a very beautiful and elegant hair cut and paid a freaking 250$ for that. A 250$ hair cut? That would've been my life time hair maintenance expenses. But the hair dresser listened to all my rants - that was absolutely priceless.
I went home with the new looks and the way H looked at me - priceless again. It was a silly fight about who picks up kids after their classes. Anyways, that day was memorable for me with a super duper hair cut, the kids were picked up by H and he felt guilty and took us to a fancy restaurant and a movie and the bonus part was he kept noticing my hair but couldn't get a clue. LOL
After that I don’t enroll my kids to any of those weekend classes and when we have an argument, I go get myself a pedicure.
P.S: Instead of being phases of the moon - I changed by handle to its name.

Daughters?? My d is equal to 10 ds. Not even once in 6 years she called me Mom! She calls me by name...doesn't take noodles or pasta for lunch. She combs her hair like 3 times a day, brushes her teeth thrice, showers twice. She is way too adamant and yeah she doesn’t like sugar in her milk and doesn’t like anything rich in salt and eats her vegetables and she loves broccoli – I am a little scared of her. If I pack something other than what she asked for…I get lectures from her. Sigh! She is not like my S…he is fine with uppinkai sandwich once in a while. She is more like where are my veggies? Why this is over cooked? You don’t know how to cook…

Vids by herself is like 100 ds to her Mom...imagine her D. My D is more like my MIL. I think it is the universal law and the universe way of having fun like …”Hey you don’t like your MIL? How about now you have her as your D! Ha Ha Ha…you better learn your lessons!”
So, to all the women out there….please don’t hate your MIL. LOL

Congratulations! It's on my list of things to do, but the wife hates the idea. How was the experience?doofus_maximus wrote:last week I did sky diving for the first and only time.. does that count.

very scary.. we finished our will before we did it giving custody of our son to his Godmother/Aunt in India.
The instructor was so good and put us on a very good comfort level. But I thought I was having a heart attack the first few seconds and had my eyes closed for those seconds.
I won't do it again.

Have you done bungee jumping? If so, are the first few seconds somewhat like the the first few seconds of a bungee jump?doofus_maximus wrote:very scary.. we finished our will before we did it giving custody of our son to his Godmother/Aunt in India.

haven't done bungee jumping. it is going on the list. But the first few seconds were more intense and last much longer than a major rollercoaster that you can think of.

I was once inspired to do the bungee jumping after watching (My Thalaivar) the movie "Kushi". But now I am happy to watch others dying for few seconds. I used to be a regular rider of six flags medusa - but then no sky diving or bungee jumping for me, I am very certain about it. I heard there is an indoor sky diving somewhere close by, haven't tried it, yet.

my son finally started eating desi food. he wants sickly yellow daal all the time.. oh what have I done.. sold myself out to the ugly naartheners.
Are you for real ?
Makes EXCELLENT sandwich with uppinikaai without the "kaai" different taste different day....burns calories faster, add any cheese or other meat/veggies.
kids love Daal...which is good. Expose him to deeeferent deeferent daals and sundals... and hook him up. Great low GI and GL foods and it will be a habit for life for him.

DM: that's cool. I also want to do sky diving. Based on the videos I have seen, I better do it before my cheeks starts flying in more than 1 second lag to the rest of my face.
Sasthi: No. I was the easiest child to raise, as per the testimonies of my mom and full time nanny. No fuss in eating or anything. D otoh is equal to a 100 ds. And yeah, she has taken after my MIL's MIL. i.e. my ex's grandma. Hated her guts, actually argued with her a lot even before marriage, who knew I would be raising another her.
So ok, I had another 'first' today. Walked out of shop-n-stop w/o paying. It was a self checkout, but a bagger was helping me. Got distracted in watching him and picking the bags, then walked away. Just as I was getting out of the second main door, he called me from behind. Glad he didn't charge me for shop lifting. Was embarrassing to the limit, specially when he said, 'as long as this was an honest mistake'.

I wanted to do it but wanted to try flying first. Took a discovery flight couple of months ago. It was good though didnot like the dents at the wings of the old cessna 152. The instructor was good but coudlnot stop talking about FAA/ATC politics/etc... It feels fairly easy to control the plane once you are up in the air. He was planning to let me land but decided against it, since wind was picking up speed.
One of my friend who tried skydiving, experienced some interesting thing. After airborne and they are ready to jump, his legs were not cooperating; like he want to jump but he couldnot move his legs may be out of fear or something... Then the co-jumper(?) decided to jump anyway along with him and my friend didnot like the entire experience and he said he will not do it again!

the instructers/co-jumpers don't give u time to think. They all have to jump within seconds of each other at the pre-destined point.

....Don't let this discourage you....
P.S. My wife went skydiving on her own last year...while I was on the ground and involved in some tense moments on some other matters precisely at the same time.
