i did not know of pran nath until you mentioned him on sulekha. i just started listening to him after your post here. wiki says he is of the kirana gharana -- the same tradition that produced bhimsen joshi, gangubai hangal, and firoze dastur. my initial impressions are that his style is very meditative and inward focused, and not the expressive style espoused by bhimsen. i am listening to the yaman kalyan on youtube. very nice. will post more impressions as i listen more.
