haffun!
eww. that looks gaudy. black and gold? sounds good if dressing up as a witch.
it sounded like this was a big event, she picked wine red for the outfit (or so i thought). gold looks very beautiful with red. you don't have to do two tone the same way if you find it too gaudy. you could do flowers or other patterns. check this out

Seven - the last design you posted pictures looks like an infection of the nails:-) the color seems pleasant though.
Rekzu - hello, nalamA?

My current nail polish: Revlon 410 Charmed. Got a lot of compliments for it. It's a new shade.
Edit: vids, it does look ghetto. I know where that comment is coming from and I agree with that
7, the second one is lovely. Pretty artistic and it suited the nails well.

thanks but not my idea of style. i only like makeup/clothes/accessories that do not jump out and strike me on my face. it should be very subtle and hardly noticeable. all these colours and designs are crying for attention and are quite jarring.
i recently met a woman(in her early 40s) who wears only saris, no matter where she goes. no makeup, no bling-bling. she comes from a very cultured and aristocratic family in india and they travel the world regularly. she oozed class and elegance despite the simple attire.

Re: good color for a manicure
There are two kinds of simple ppl. The first kind don't even think twice about how they dress themselves. They are just happy the way they are and they don't care how others dress, least bit comparing their dressing style with others and criticizing/trying to put down others and boosting their own ego in the process. They just live and let live. They are the real cool ppl (not pseudos)-strong, confident, open minded, happy and suffer from no complexes.
i don't think i need to talk about the other kind. Exact opposite of the first.

i'm sorry if i wasn't clear. when i said 'you', i meant anyone. if you(/as-in-anyone) don't like one way to do two-tone, there are other ways to do it too and then i posted one example.bw wrote:seven wrote:bw wrote:seven wrote:you seem really excited about this event. if this is the color you wanna go with and it matches your outfit, why not try two tone nailpolish? depending on your footwear and jewelry maybe do red and gold or black perhaps?

It only shocks a bit when you discover the double face of some people. But guess it's ok. Part of life. I myself lie all the time in trying to keep two images.
