Browsing on FB, saw photos of XB's wife and sil chilling on their roof under torrential monsoon rain. Images took me back 22-22 years, when we had gone up to sit on the same roof, that was on the third floor of the house.

I had gone to meet him, and he was like, let's hang out upstairs. So we went upstairs. We eventually jumped down on a flat section of terrace that had no secure walls, I think it was built just to shield a balcony on the second floor. Ya, at that age, I was much more bold and athletic about such things. So anyway, we finally sat there, our feet dangling in wide air, facing the highway that passed infront of his house.

It was fine up until a point, we were sitting holding each other's hands and chatting. And then, BAM. On the highway, saw my dad passing by in his car. Inspite of tall trees, he could still have seen us if he looked our way. I got so freaked out, and in an instant slid all the way back hoping to disappear from the view, but I couldn't. XB was ROFLing by this time. Luckily, dad was a focused driver who focused just on the traffic, but by God, had he seen us, would have been game over for me. Never went up on the roof of his house, ever again.

The game was indeed over...wasn't it ? Or the game just restarted after a prolonged rain delay?
