The Koranic way of learning is better than taking free online courses

There is no free lunch. When you pay nothing, you get nothing.
Free online courses may be helpful where no other means exist at all, they neither impart learning nor deepen understanding nor are efficient.
A lecturer’s popularity does not equate to his ability to make you understand the concepts. Walter Lewin’s theatrics have failed to produce results to retain student in class or in conceptual problem solving.
Eric Mazur in this noted research video critiques the traditional one-way lecture format information flow, and advances his new two-way peer learning theory. Harking back to Socratic method where teacher poses a problem and leads them to the correct answer through teacher-student dialog Eric recommends student-to-students interaction involving an element of thinking.

- Recite to us the Ayat (signs) of Allah, means the nature around us
- To purify our soul
- To teach from the Book – i.e. all past accumulated knowledge
- To impart wisdom – i.e. apply all above by practical problem solving.
