His CONgame will not succeed because the Goa govt has the CCTV footage and doesn't need the girl's consent to go through with the case. By becoming a Ravan, Tarun inappropriately dropped his chaddi and shot himself on the lingam. Apparently, his family is harassing the girl, asking her not to cooperate with the Goa police. Hopefully, Shoma distances herself from him and files her own case against him! I am sure, he has been a Ravan for a long time and many women can come out and expose him further. He is SCREWED and no CONlawyer can save him.

NEW DELHI/PANAJI: In what could be a setback for the sexual assault probe against Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal, Goa Police said on Saturday CCTV cameras were not installed in the hotel elevator where Tejpal is alleged to have sexually assaulted his junior colleague twice.

DIG O P Mishra, at a press briefing, on Saturday afternoon said that there was "no specific CCTV camera in the elevator" but the police are examining other footages.

Mishra said that they are approaching the agency that had installed the surveillance system in the hotel. "I cannot reveal any more information because investigations are on," Mishra said.

But the girl has said she will co-operate fully with the Goa police so the CCTV footage will probably not be required to cook Tejpal's goose.

with respect to Shoma, in my opinion she should be jailed along with Tarun for conspiring to hush up a serious crime.

In private sexual assault cases, it boils down do he said/she said - in the absence of material evidence.

Almost 100% of the time the the one with reputation, power, wealth, and influence always wins. Did u notice that wealthy and influential women hardly accuse anyone of sexual molestation and it is always the "downtrodden?" the wealthy women keep quiet and bury such incidents - thus cutting their losses.

If this had happened in Bombay or Delhi, nothing would have come out of all this. Goa is a BJP ruled state and they quickly moved to act against Tarun - who put them in trouble before 2004. So there is a political angle to this. Notice that no politician is openly commenting on this incident bcz everyone has skeletons in their closet.
