What did you have or are you planning to have for lunch today?

I'm having fish sandwich with fries or should I say chips?

i made this yesterday night. brought some leftover today. flew like crazy. result - no lunch for me. sipping my green tea and wishing i was in heaven instead, my version of heaven..i won't tell you what it is.

get a jar of vegetable base at Wegman's

place a tablespoon of base in 2 cups of water.
add a teaspoon of mild miso paste (which is like a peanut butter consistency)

let it heat medium high while I prepare the rest.

In a soup bowl I add:
4 thin slices of jalapeno green chili pepper
one half teaspoon of srirachi chili sauce (from the Chinese store)
fresh chopped coriander
fresh chopped scallion (green onion) if I have any around
a dash of sesame oil

Then, I add Chinese rice vermicelli to the warm broth in the pan, and wait for a boil.
It usually doesn't take long for vermicelli (especially rice) to soften.

Pour the broth into the bowl and enjoy

I wish I had brought my blackberry with me to take a snap of the fried rice I got from my favorite hole in the wall Chinese restaurant.

Correct. No pa or ma. This is the soft Mangalorean dosa, similar to the Ethiopian injera, but made of rice.

Today I committed blasphemy by replacing sabudana with Isreali Couscous in a Maharashtrian Sabudana Khichdi recipe. Turned out tasty!
