Has older posts probably older than 1 year or so has been deleted?

I couldnot get some of my older posts which I wanted to update/ask.

Should not be the case. If you look under your profile and then "topics user has posted in" then it only shows a limited number, I think. But if you search the posts you should still be able to find them. Alternatively, if you remember the approximate time when you made them, you can navigate to the corresponding page on the main forum and find the thread.
