Very balanced and answered with conviction. But all this is moot, unless NDA makes it to power. Sometimes I wonder whether the Americans and Chinese know better than the loud mouth "(pseudo) sickulars" in India

Modi will centralize power but harder to treat India as Gujarat. He cut the RSS and VHP to size in Gujarat - making himself the "King of Gujarat" He will focus on development for the next 3 to 4 years with the aim of throwing out ALL BJP leaders in 2019 - notably pro-RSS leaders, without actually parting ways with RSS. That way he can become attractive to Muslim voters - much like in Gujarata.

If he is autocratic that is ok - as India and Indians interpret that as strength. But, he needs to be careful not to degenerate into corrupt practices - like Indira and her cronies and all autocrats and cronies. There lies the challenge and opportunity.

...Oh....US will lose big time - with Modi diplomatically ignoring them and not favoring them in any govt contracts. But as a business-oriented person he has PLENTY of countries to copy, look up to, and work with - ASEAN and JAPAN and S. Korea (mainly) and to lesser extent Germany. He will use commerce as a tool against countries to put pressure on the neighboring Saitans.

IF he forms the next govt. The final numbers will decide on the intensity and strength of Modism.
